The McLaughlin Reserve is open to use by permission only. Those interested in using the reserve should contact the reserve manager to discuss an orientation visit and the feasibility of the planned use.

McLaughlin Reserve is located at the intersection of Lake, Napa, and Yolo counties. It is approximately 2 hours northwest of the UC Davis campus.

Please arrange a date and time with Reserve staff if you wish to visit the McLaughlin Reserve. The Ray Krauss field station is located at 26775 Morgan Valley Road, Lower Lake, CA 95457. While it can be accessed from the northwest on Morgan Valley Road from Lower Lake CA and from the southeast on Knoxville-Berryessa Road from Lake Berryessa, Reserve staff can provide information on current factors that might influence your travels and recommend best approach routes taking into consideration weather and road conditions.
