Bio

Paul Aigner joined the NRS in 2002 as Co-Director of the McLaughlin Natural Reserve. In 2017 his title was changed to Director of Land Stewardship to reflect his increasing focus on restoration and management of serpentine grasslands. Paul has a doctorate in biology from UC Riverside, where he studied the evolution of specialization for pollination in the genus Dudleya. His inspiration to join the NRS came from doing field work at the UC Santa Barbara Santa Cruz Island Reserve.
