Maurer-Timm Endowment

We are pleased to announce the third annual Maurer/Timm grant competition to support student research at the Quail Ridge and Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserves. This program is open to all UC Davis graduate students conducting research at either of these Reserves. Please share this announcement with interested students and colleagues.

We anticipate making multiple awards of up to $2,500 per award. In exceptional circumstances, larger award amounts may be considered. Applications should be submitted to Gary Bucciarelli, Director of Strategic Engagement for the UC Davis Natural Reserves, at garyb@ucdavis.edu by 5:00 pm, Sunday, December 1, 2024. Please contact him or Shane Waddell, UC Davis NRS Associate Director, at smwaddell@ucdavis.edu, with any questions about the application package (attached).

Students in all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Natural Reserve facilities and study sites are available to students from all departments, including the natural and social sciences, humanities, education, medical and veterinary sciences, and engineering. Applicants who are not currently working at Natural Reserves should contact the Associate Director to discuss how proposed projects might be implemented at Stebbins Cold Canyon and/or Quail Ridge Reserve.
