Surbhi Gupta

Surbhi is a third-year Ph.D. candidate in the Chemistry and Chemical Biology Graduate Group where her research in analytical chemistry focuses on improving LC-MS methods for compound ionization and detection in coffee and tea. Beyond the lab, she is passionate about community-driven environmental engagement. Through prior work building low-cost ecological solutions and providing mentorship to students from underrepresented communities, Surbhi has found that the initiatives at Hands on the Land align with her aspiration to foster equitable access to community-building through meaningful outdoor experiences. She is excited to join HOTL as a director in 2026 and contribute to its core missions.
