Shane Waddell is the Associate Director for UC Davis Natural Reserves. He started with the Natural Reserve System at UCSB's Sedgwick Reserve in 1998. He came to UC Davis in 2000. He was the long-time resident Director of Quail Ridge Reserve until 2021. He studied mathematics and economics at UC Santa Barbara and taught math and english with the Peace Corps in Nepal.
