Research Coordinator
- Bodega Marine Reserve
Jackie began working at the Bodega Marine Reserve in 2005. Her primary responsibilities include facilitating research, classes, and public outreach. In the natural history field for 30 years, she has experience in marine, estuarine, freshwater, and terrestrial systems and with a diversity of taxa. Jackie enjoys combining science and art and is creating a visual archive of Sonoma Coast landscapes, seascapes, and species. She actively promotes natural history education and is co-author of Stokes Beginner’s Guide to Dragonflies and the Natural History of Bodega Head blog. Her photographs have appeared in books, magazines, articles, exhibits, and presentations. Jackie documents change in coastal ecosystems and recently co-authored a Scientific Reports article describing geographic range extensions of marine species in northern California.
