Gavin is a Master’s student in the UC Davis Soils and Biogeochemistry Graduate Group, where his research focuses on the Food-Energy-Water Nexus through agrivoltaic systems. His work emphasizes advancing equitable access to sustainable agricultural practices through applied, field-based research. Gavin first joined Hands on the Land as an undergraduate participant, where he loved the ease with which community formed during each trip. In 2025, he returned as a co-director, grateful for the opportunity to build upon the program’s core mission and foster a welcoming, safe space for all who wish to join.
