Brooke is a PhD Candidate in the Graduate Group in Ecology at UC Davis using functional traits to determine how drought affects California grassland plants. Brooke is interested in all things plant ecology and aims to use science to help land managers and restoration practitioners make evidence-based decisions. Brooke is also passionate about equitable access to outdoor recreation, education, restoration, and appreciation. This led Brooke to join Hands on the Land as a Director in January 2022.
