Field Station. Our scenic hilltop field station has a meeting/dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, two restrooms, and one shower room.
Tent Cabins. Eight safari-style tent cabins are located near the field station. Each tent holds four cots (that can be topped with mattresses that we keep on-site). The field station restrooms and porta-potties are available to those staying in the tents.
Researcher House. This three-bedroom, two-bath house has 10 beds in all. The house has a well-equipped kitchen, living and laundry area. Some bedding is available, but please bring your own preferred gear when possible.
PI Studio. This small, free-standing unit is a self-contained studio with kitchenette and bathroom with shower. The unit is reserved for faculty or PIs when the reserve is busy.
Laboratory Trailer. A mobile, IACUC-approved laboratory trailer, currently deployed in Decker Canyon, is available for use by researchers needing laboratory space.
There is no charge for day-use of the Reserve (including the field station) by approved applicants. Overnight rates are $8/night for University of California affiliates, and $10/night for others. Exclusive use of the Researcher House is $80/night. Exclusive use of all tents and Field Station is $400/night.
For special services, staff time may be billed at a rate of $38/$49 per hour (UC vs non-UC rate) for stewards' time or $49/$65 per hour for director's time. While staff time can be requested, staff may not always have available time to fulfill requests.
